Tying description for all Puh
flies.
Bind in rib and wrap forward to
where wing will sit. Bind in wing with base forward then lift wings
and do figure of 8 to bind the wing into a v shape. Hair ends should
be clipped even with hook bend.
Bind in body hackle at the wing base, go backwards with the thread then dub
the thread. Wind the hackle backwards and tye it on at the back,
then work dubbing and ribbing forward to the wing base and tye it
on.
Tie in front hackle, - for larger flies use two or three hackel -.
After the fly is ended, squieeze the wings together with fingers and
cut wings straight of at top. If you use "bushy" hackle you should
trim the hackle between the wings, this is done to minimize the
air-resistance when casting the fly. This is valid for all fies in
the Puh-family.
