Tube body & Split hackles

With article "Parachute wings of cock hackles" I illustrated a method of assembly that allows you to create wings formed by barbs of a cock's hackle. While I built the imitation, I realized that, with a slight modification to the procedure, I could get a Split hackle. Using a tube body instead of a cylinder of a sturdy foam or nylon thread, such as makes in the previous assembly, the procedure realized visible in the dressing.

Dressing

1) Fixed a tube body on a hook grub.

2) In the same point fixed a cock's hackle.

3) I wrap the hackle around the hook.

4) I fixed and cut the excess.

5) I raise the beards of the hackle and wrap the thread to the hook between the two halves of the tube body

6) Wrap the thread to the horizontal plane, as if I twisted a hackle in parachute position.

7) Down with the excess of the fixed tube body and the cap side of the hook.

8) Cut the excess of the tube body.

9) I carry my head and imitation is over.

Obviously, though, before fixing the cock's hackle, we provide the fly with wings, we get the Split winged hackle.

Con l’articolo "Parachute ali gallo" illustrai un procedimento di montaggio che consente di creare ali formate da barbe di una hackle di gallo. Mentre costruivo l’imitazione, mi resi conto che, con una leggera modifica al procedimento, potevo ottenere una Split Hackles. Usando un tube body invece di un cilindro di foam o un robusto filo di nylon, come feci nel precedente montaggio, realizzai il procedimento visibile nel dressing.

Dressing

1) Fisso un tube body su un amo grub.

2) Nello stesso punto fisso una hackle di gallo.

3) Avvolgo la hackle intorno all’amo.

4) La fisso e taglio l’eccedenza.

5) Sollevo le barbe della hackle e avvolgo il filo di montaggio fra l’amo e le due metà del tube body

6) Avvolgo il filo di montaggio sul piano orizzontale, come se avvolgessi una hackle in posizione parachute.

7) Abbasso l’eccedenza del tube body e lo fisso accanto all’occhiello dell’amo.

8) Recido l’eccedenza del tube body.

9) Eseguo la testa e l’imitazione è finita.

Ovviamente, se, prima di fissare la hackle di gallo, dotiamo la mosca di ali, otteniamo la Split hackle alata.
