Loop body

  I always had a natural flair for simplicity, and this innate characteristic, always affects my way of building artificial flies.

  For many years I enjoy experimenting with new ways to construct the extended body and, in time, I refined the process of construction in order to obtain simpler and quicker to make edits.

  With the design of the loop body to believe that I managed to get what he wanted.

  This extended body can be realized with various natural materials, such as the pheasant tail barbs, the barbs of goose, the beards of parrot, heron, or the peacock, with deer or elk hair and synthetic yarns.

  Dressing

1) Fixed a bunch of pheasant tail barbs on the curve of a hook grub.

2) With the help of the Loop Tool formed a loop with beards and fixed on the hook.

3) I enter the code in the loop, each staring at the sides of the hook.

4) Taking into tension the loop, wrap the mounting thread around it mounting coils wire. When I reach the end of the body, going back up to get on the hook: the extended body is made.

  Ho sempre avuto una naturale predisposizione per l’essenzialità, e questa innata caratteristica, da sempre, condiziona il mio modo di costruire le mosche artificiali.

  Da molti anni mi diverto a sperimentare nuovi modi per costruire gli extended body e, col tempo, ho affinato i procedimenti di costruzione con lo scopo di ottenere montaggi semplici e veloci da realizzare.

  Con l’ideazione del corpo ad asola credo di essere riuscito a ottenere ciò che desideravo.

  Questo extended body si può realizzare con vari materiali naturali, come le barbe della coda del fagiano, le barbe di oca, le barbe di pappagallo, quelle di airone o di pavone, con peli di cervo o di alce e con filati sintetici.

  Dressing

1) Fisso un ciuffetto di barbe della coda del fagiano sulla curva di un amo grub.

2) Con l’aiuto del Loop Tool formo un’asola con le barbe e le fisso sull’amo.

3) Inserisco nell’asola le code, fissando ciascuna sui lati dell’amo.

4) Tenendo in tensione l’asola, avvolgo intorno ad essa il filo di montaggio a spire larghe. Quando arrivo all’estremità del corpo, torno indietro fino a giungere sull’amo: l’extended body è fatto.
