Upset hackle

I created this fly pattern in the nineties and made known in an article that was published in the Magazine Fly Line the month of January 1998. Then, I inserted it in the book Magie in CDC, published in 2004. From this derive other fly patterns I intend to propose later. This artificial, built on small hooks is very good for trout and grayling.

Dressing:

1) On the curve of a hook grub, fixed a CDC hackle wet.

2) I wrap the hackle around the hook to get the abdomen of the fly. Fixed the hackle and cut the excess.

3) In addition to the abdomen fixed a strip of foam and hackle CDC.

4) I wrap the hackle around the base of the strip of foam, fixed it on the hook and cutting the excess.

5) I make a dubbing

6) With the dubbing, I create the thorax of the fly.

7) Reverse the strip of foam on the chest, fixed it next the hook eye and cut the excess.

8) I run the head of imitation.

9) Cut the beards of CDC for wings.

10) The finished fly

Dressing

7) Rovescio la striscia di foam sul torace, la fisso accanto all’occhiello dell’amo e taglio l’eccedenza.

8) Eseguo la testa dell’imitazione.

9) Taglio le barbe di CDC per ottenere le ali.

10) Mosca finita
