Twisted
hackle
By Agostino Roncallo
In previous articles
Palomino and Midge, I showed how to create an extended body
twisting on itself CDC beards. Being satisfied with the
result, I tried to create even larger bodies, but the length
of the barbs did not allow it and then, instead of beards,
twisted on itself an entire hackle CDC. With that kind of
body extended, I built imitations of any kind that I
proposed in my book about CDC "Magie in CDC."
Dressing:
1) Hold the hackle CDC for
the base and the tip, the twist on itself.
2) Twisted Hackle
3) The body extended.
4) Fixed the body extended
on a hook grub.
5) Cut the excess
6) Fixed a hackle CDC
beside the extended body.
7) I wrap the hackle around
the hook.
8) Fixed the hackle near
the hook eye and cut the excess.
9) Port forward all beards
and fixed next to the hook eye.
10) I lift beards and fixed
vertically by running the head of the fly.
11) I take the fly from the
vise and shorten the beards of the wings.
12) The fly is build.
